Reporter with 25+ Years of Experience

Emily brings more than 25 years of reporting experience to the table, earning her chops in small markets, covering breaking news, local government, and stories that have always left people hopeful about the human spirit.

As a cub reporter, she covered the September 11th Attacks, reporting for several weeks in Shanksville, PA, where Flight 93 crashed. Her coverage earned landed her a spot in the book Women Journalists at Ground Zero.

Emily’s no stranger to covering the tragedies that so often lead the local news.

In that coverage, she brings an empathy that allows survivors to speak freely and frankly about the human experience of unexpected loss and the often difficult road ahead.

In recent years, Emily’s earned 30 Emmy nominations and won 10 Emmys, recognized for her work in breaking news and general assignment reporting.

After reporting for 18+ years in a top 25 market, Emily brings this philosophy to the table every day:  Everybody has a story to tell and it’s a reporter’s job to tell those stories with objectivity, integrity, and respect.
